"Panis angelicus", the French composer and organist of German-Belgian origin C��sar Franck (1822-1890) originally composed for the tenor / soprano, organ, harp and cello. Later, he arranged the hymn several times afresh, and finally took it as an introduction to the Communion in his Mass in A major, op. Today, the piece is one of the most popular works of C��sar Franck and, even though it has its liturgical origin in Eucharistic worship, is also sung in festivals such as weddings.
