Piano and Vocal Matthew is both an accomplished, classically trained singer and a pianist. He completed his Master's of Opera Studies and Bachelor of Music degrees at Sydney Conservatorium, majoring in classical voice with the internationally acclaimed baritone, Simon Lobelson. Prior to that, he studied classical voice with Patricia Woods and piano with Anne Hilberts. He completed all his AMEB piano and singing grades by 2016. In June, July & August of 2025, Matthew will be performing a leading baritone role in Delibes' Lakme, and in Puccini's La Boheme, at Chicago Summer Opera, having been awarded a full tuition scholarship. In 2024, Matthew won a scholarship to the Chicago Opera School, where he took the lead roles in Mozart's Don Giovanni and Menotti's The Consul. Mylen holds a Bachelor degree in Music Education (major in Voice with Associate degree in Piano). She has 20+ years experience in private music teaching and had many productive years in music classroom teaching. In addition, she gather and supervised 1000 Children’s choir performing at the Big Mall on Christmas events as a Choral conductor and event coordinator, The choir she taught won several competitions in instrumental and choral. Mylen is passionate in discovering the talents and creativity of each students. She is experienced with variety innovative teaching approach for young kids such as; Orff, Waldorf and Kodaly. Mylen is very familiar with all mainstream international music exam in both piano and voice (AMEB, ABRSM and Trinity), She encourages students to do their best and excel in their fields of interest with dynamic, resourceful, patient and creative teaching style.
