Catch up tuning serviceIf your piano has not been tuned for a ~3-20 years, has been moved, or has new strings, then it may need a catch up tuning service, (aka, a pitch raise), where it is tuned several times to bring out the best in your piano. |
2h — $220.00 — Piano tuning to standard pitch, for pianos that are tuned regularly and are under 40 years old If your piano has not been tuned in the last 3 years or more, please select pitch raise and tune.
2h 30m — $300.00 — This service is usually for pianos that have not be tuned in the last 3-20 years and or pianos that are severely out of tune. If you select this service and the technician finds the piano did not need the additional time, then the lower rate of $220 applies instead. This service is suitable for any piano regardless of its age. If the piano needs repairs, or adjustments such as regulation, this can be quoted by the technician.
3h 45m — $410.00 — This service is usually for pianos that have not be tuned in the last 10-40 years and or pianos that are severely out of tune. This service includes: - catch up tuning service (aka pitch raise) - up to 1 hour of adjustments limited to $110 in value. Anywork over this limit is quoted in advance. Each year when a technician tunes a piano, they often do small minor adjustments to ensure the piano is working well. If your piano has not been tuned for 10-40 years, it may need alot of minor adjustments to have it playable. This service allows the additional time needed for these adjustments. This service is suitable for any piano regardless of its age. We ONLY charge for the work we do. If your piano did not need the extra $110 for maintenance, then we charge only $300 for the service.
2h 45m — $300.00 — Pianos that are over 40 years old, can take longer to tune. This option allows enough time to get the best result for your piano. If needed / suitable, this service will also include a pitch raise for your piano.
4h 20m — $500.00 — This is for grand pianos tuned regularly. Includes cleaning the soundboard, vacuuming inside of the piano, dusting and a light clean / polish of the outside of the piano. This service does not include: - polishing the keys. - It does not include treating mold. - It does not include a pitch raise - It does not include polishing all brass parts of the paino.
Cleaning and polishing
1h — $110.00 — This service includes light cleaning of the outside, and a light polish of the piano. This does not remove scratches. Service may not be suitable for some pianos, depending on the finish. It does not include polishing the keys. It does not include treating mold.
40m — $110.00 — This is for dusting and cleaning of the soundboard of a grand piano. We have special tools that allows us to dust under the strings. Our vacuum uses HEPA filters to reduce any dust thrown into the air. This service is for inside of the piano only. Not included: This is not a deep clean. If your soundboard has grime, stains, this will not remove them.
1h — $110.00 — Cleaning of the pedals, metal locks of the piano.
Repairs and maintenance options
1h 10m — $220.00 — This service is to treat and deal with mould on the piano. This service is suitable for upright and grand pianos.
30m — $110.00 — If you need maintenance, such as fixing sticky keys, or repairing keytops, select this option. For peace of mind, the piano can be inspected, and the price can be quoted prior to work being commenced, we aim to be upfront about pricing, but we cant estimate the price until we inspect the piano.
30m — $110.00 — Steel strings are in the middle and treble section of the piano. Technicians carry a wide range of steel strings, and can typically replace them same day, and then tune your piano afterwards.
30m — $220.00 — If your piano has a broken bass string, a technician will need to come inspect the piano, organise a replacement, and return to fit it. It can take 1-2 weeks before a replacement string can be fitted. The listed price includes the call out fee, it also includes the cost of the new string, and the time to return and fit the string.
2h — $440.00 — Action regulation. This is for a quick regulation of the pianos action to improve the pianos performance and overall touch.
5h — $575.00 — Over time piano hammers develop deep grooves. To adjust the piano hammers positions to be correct, we need to reshape the hammers. Voicing, is a method of needling the hammers to restore the sound of the piano. Sometimes this service need to be done in our workshop, and may take additional time to achieve the best results.
