Transport and parking

  • The Opera House is approximately a six-minute walk from Circular Quay, served by trains, buses, light rail and ferries.
  • Park at the Sydney Opera House Car Park, 2A Macquarie Street. Pre-book online for better rates.

02Session Times

Morning Session

9:30 AM–12:00 PM

  • 8:30 AMPerformer arrival at the Stage Door.
  • 9:00 AMParent and guest entry via the Main Foyer. Ticket required.
  • 9:30 AMConcert starts sharp.
  • 12:00 PMTrophy presentation and group photo.
After the session

Staff will escort performers from backstage to meet their parents in the entrance lobby. Families will then gather for outdoor photos with the Opera House as the backdrop before leaving.

Afternoon Session

2:30–5:00 PM

  • 12:30 PMListed rehearsal groups arrive at the Stage Door.
  • 1:00 PMGroup rehearsals start.
  • 2:00 PMParent and guest entry via the Main Foyer. Ticket required.
  • 2:30 PMConcert starts sharp.
  • 5:00 PMTrophy presentation and group photo.

After the session

Please stay for the entire session to support every performer and join the trophy presentation and group photo.

03Ticket Collection

Collect your tickets from either location:

  • Parsons Music, Westfield Chatswood
  • Parsons Music Academy, U12, 3–9 Spring Street, Chatswood

Collect tickets before Saturday, 17 October. Same-day collection at the venue is unavailable.

04Performer Requirements

What to Bring

  • Your instrument, labelled, if applicable
  • Sheet music, if required
  • A labelled water bottle
  • Big smiles and confidence!

Arrive on time for check-in, warm-up and stage preparation. See Session Times for your session.

05Dress Code

Group Performers and String Quartet

  • Boys: white shirt, black bow tie, black trousers and black dress shoes.
  • Girls: white top and black skirt, or an all-white outfit, with black dress shoes.

Ballet and Dance

Wear the costume specified by your group teacher.

All Other Performers

Wear smart concert attire. No casual wear or sneakers.

06Afternoon Group Rehearsals

Arrive at the Stage Door by 12:30 PM. The groups below must arrive early to prepare for rehearsals starting at 1:00 PM.

07Important Reminders

  • When not performing, performers will sit in designated backstage areas under staff supervision.
  • Only water is permitted in the performance area. No food or other drinks.

08Photography and Video

  • Official performance photos will be taken and shared with parents.
  • You may take photos from your seat. Please do not use flash or move around during performances.
