Max Troughton
Max began his Cello journey at the age of six and continued in his passion for the instrument and recently graduated from Newtown School of Performing Arts, holding the First Desk in their orchestra and string ensemble. Max has also completed Grade 8 AMEB Classical Cello.
He also has played and studied guitar alongside the cello and has previous experience teaching at Haworth music school in Wollongong. He understands the challenges students can face in each stage of their learning development and he believes that each student is unique in their needs, with everyone requiring a customised approach to their style in order to excel in playing.

Max has: Provided group lessons for up to four students as well as individual lessons. Formed a consistent base of returning students, who have made significant progress. Has taught a wide range of students of all ages, from kindergarten to adults - adapting lessons to their learning needs and interests.
