Meet Our Teacher – Joyce Song

Parsons Music is delighted to welcome Joyce Song to our teaching team.

Joyce is currently a student at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and brings a wealth of experience as both a solo and collaborative pianist. She has performed in numerous public concerts and recitals and participated in various piano competitions. Her experience also includes working as an accompanist for vocalists and instrumentalists in studio settings, concerts, and examinations.

As an educator, Joyce is deeply committed to tailoring lessons to meet each student’s needs. She provides a strong technical and musical foundation while encouraging expressive music-making. Her teaching encompasses a wide repertoire—from classical to contemporary—and she offers expert guidance for students preparing for AMEB examinations.

Joyce strongly emphasizes sight-reading, collaborative playing, and the development of theoretical understanding, all essential components for well-rounded musicianship. Passionate about inspiring a love of music, she enjoys teaching students of all ages and skill levels.

Her achievements include:

   •   AMEB Grade 8 (High Distinction), 2019

   •   Certificate of Music Performance (Distinction), 2020

   •   Associate in Music (AMusA), 2021
