Joanie is a dedicated and committed teacher who is a highly valued member of our teaching team. She has a rich family history of music appreciation and instruction, which has deeply enriched her life. She studied piano at the Sydney Conservatorium for three years and has nearly two decades of experience playing the instrument.

As a highly skilled pianist, Joanie is frequently called upon for accompaniment jobs for AMEB student exams, and her intimate familiarity with the AMEB Syllabus and requirements makes her an invaluable resource to those preparing for these exams.

Joanie is a Music and Piano Teacher who prioritizes the development of young musicians and their abilities. She bases her teaching on three principles: Empathy, Knowledge, and Inspiration.

Her lessons encompass a range of musical concepts and skills, technical problem-solving, music reading and aural skills, style and interpretation, and sound development. Above all, Joanie aims to instill a love for music and learning in her students, building their confidence and helping them communicate their emotions through music.
