Jane Liu

With over 15 years of experience in piano education and educational management, Jane Liu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Education from the Conservatory of Music, Southwest University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Music from UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has a strong understanding of systematic piano teaching methodologies and a solid professional background in classical music.

Adhering to a student-centred teaching philosophy, Jane excels at designing personalised lesson plans for students of different ages and skill levels. She places strong emphasis on developing students’ musical perception, musicality, and expressive ability, guiding children to build a genuine love for music through engaging and professional teaching methods.

Jane also attaches great importance to the planning and targeted guidance of students’ after-class practice. She structures practice repertoire scientifically, refines practice methods, follows up on students’ progress in a timely manner, and provides professional feedback to ensure practice sessions are efficient, focused, and goal-oriented. In her teaching, she carefully balances the development of solid piano technique with the cultivation of musical literacy, enabling students to enhance both their musical understanding and aesthetic awareness throughout their piano learning journey.

Jane has participated in masterclasses and professional training with world-renowned music educators, including Jerry Wong (Director of the Piano Department, Melbourne Conservatorium of Music) and Louise Cournarie (Master’s Supervisor, Royal College of Music). She integrates advanced international teaching concepts into her daily teaching practice and regularly organises piano observation and exchange activities for students, providing high-quality platforms for learning and performance. Her students have achieved outstanding results in piano competitions and professional grade examinations.
