Guan Yang

Guan Yang has been studying violin since she was 5 years old.

As a young adult, Guan studied under Professor Wenhui Guan from Xinghai Conservatory of Music in China. In 2012, she was admitted to the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and studied under Prof. Wei Wei (The Head of String Studio).

During the completion of her studies in Bachelor of Music, Guan had lessons with famous Master Violinists Mark Masenger and Jassen Todoro. In 2016, she studied at Columbus State University in the United States of America and received a full scholarship for the Artist Diploma. At that time, she studied under the famous violinist Professor Seigiu Schwartz. 


Guan has performed many concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and was highly praised by the conductor Paul Hostetter. She also studied Chamber Music with Alexander Kobrin, a pianist from Eastman School of Music in the USA. She has also participated in many music festivals and charity concerts and held three solo recitals across America..

In 2018, Guan was admitted to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to complete her Master's Degree in Music Performance and studied under the famous violinist Goetz Richter. 

From her excellent academic performance during her school years combined with many large-scale symphony dates, she was chosen to work with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to commemorate the World War II series of concerts.

Guan is passionate about teaching and has helped many students to pass violin exams since college days.
