David Zhao is a highly experienced and dedicated piano educator with nearly 20 years of teaching experience across Australia and China. Passionate about nurturing musical excellence, David has guided countless students to achieve outstanding results in AMEB, ABRSM, and international music competitions, while also mentoring aspiring young musicians who have gone on to gain admission to leading universities and conservatories around the world.

David graduated from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, majoring in Piano under the guidance of distinguished professors Xiaofeng Zheng and Yinglie Zheng. He further expanded his expertise through studies at Macquarie University, completing English Learning Centre studies and an early childhood education practicum. David also holds a Senior Secondary Music Teacher Qualification and has received multiple National Outstanding Teacher Awards at the prestigious Magnolia International Music Festival.

David teaches students of all ages and abilities, from children as young as three years old to advanced performers. His lessons are carefully tailored to each student's individual learning style, combining a strong classical foundation with engaging and creative teaching approaches. Drawing on internationally recognised educational philosophies including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Kodály, and Orff, David helps students develop excellent technique, musical expression, rhythm, sight-reading, aural skills, and performance confidence.
