Alexey Koltakov – Master Piano Instructor
Pianist Alexey Koltakov is an internationally recognised concert pianist and prize winner of several prestigious competitions, including 1st Prize at the San Antonio International Piano Competition, 2nd Prize at the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, and Finalist at the renowned Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.
Alexey began studying piano at the age of six and gave his first recital at eight. Since then, he has performed internationally across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States, collaborating with distinguished conductors and orchestras. His extensive concert experience gives him a deep understanding of high-level performance and musical artistry.
Alexey completed his Bachelor's and Master's of Music degrees at the prestigious Juilliard School and also earned an Artist Diploma at Texas Christian University. With over 18 years of teaching experience, he specialises in guiding students to achieve excellence in piano performance.
Alexey is particularly passionate about mentoring serious young musicians, helping them prepare for competitions, diploma examinations, and auditions for leading music institutions. His teaching focuses on developing refined technique, musical interpretation, and the confidence required for high-level performance..
